Target Information

Thromboxane-A synthase (TBXAS1), which is also known as cytochrome P450 (CYP) isoform CYP5A1, is an enzyme encoded by the TBXAS1 gene in pigs. It catalyzes the isomerization reaction of prostaglandin H2 producing thromboxane A2, the autocrine and paracrine factor in many cell types. TBXAS1's role in maintaining hemostasis, cardiovascular health, and stroke risk makes it a critical enzyme in the body.

Target/Biomarker Porcine TBXAS1
Target Synonym Thromboxane-A synthase; TXA synthase; TXS; Cytochrome P450 5A1; TBXAS1; CYP5; CYP5A1; 5.3.99.5
