Target Information
Serine/Arginine-rich Splicing Factor 1 is encoded by the SRSF1 gene in pigs. SRSF1 is a serine-/arginine-rich protein that is essential for cell viability. It plays a crucial role in splicing site recognition at intron-exon junctions, exon skipping, and regulation of alternative splicing. Different isoforms of SRSF1 (such as ASF-2 and ASF-3) can act as splicing repressors. Additionally, SRSF1 may function as an export adapter involved in mRNA nuclear export through the TAP/NXF1 pathway.
