Target Information

Recombination Activating 1 is encoded by the RAG1 gene in pigs. RAG1 is part of a protein complex called the RAG complex. This complex plays a pivotal role in the rearrangement and recombination of genes encoding immunoglobulins (antibodies) and T cell receptor molecules. Its cellular expression is restricted to lymphocytes during their developmental stages. Its function is conserved among mammalian species.
