Target Information

Myelin proteolipid protein (PLP), also known as lipophilin, is a major myelin protein found in the central nervous system (CNS). It plays a crucial role in the formation and maintenance of the multilamellar structure of myelin. Myelin Proteolipid Protein is encoded by the PLP1 gene in pigs. Research has shown that overexpression of PLP1 significantly promoted PEDV replication and inhibited the production of interferon-β.
