Target Information
The μ-opioid receptor (MOR), also known as μ (mu)-opioid peptide (MOP) receptor, is a class of opioid receptors with high affinity for enkephalins and beta-endorphin, but low affinity for dynorphins. MOR is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) and the target of most clinically and recreationally used opioids. Mu-Type Opioid Receptor is encoded by the OPRM1 gene in pigs. OPRM1 is the major target of endogenous opioid peptides and opioid analgesic agents.
