Target Information

Myosin-4 also known as myosin, heavy chain 4 is a protein encoded by the MYH4 gene in pigs. It is predicted to enable double-stranded RNA binding activity. It acts upstream of or within response to activity. It is predicted to be located in myofibril, and is predicted to be part of myosin complex. It is expressed in several structures, including brown fat; diaphragm; heart; limb segment; and skeletal musculature. MYH4 is associated with slow muscle composition, with overexpression of MYH4 in muscle tissues possibly being a new key in modulating muscle fiber types.

Target/Biomarker Porcine MYH4
Target Synonym Myosin-4; Myosin heavy chain 2b; MyHC-2b; Myosin heavy chain 4; Myosin heavy chain; skeletal muscle; fetal; MYH4
