Target Information

Immunoglobulins are an important part of the swine immune system. They are found in the intestinal mucosa of adult pigs, in the intestinal juice, and in the faecal material of both piglets and adults. The amount of IgA produced in association with mucosal membranes surpasses all other types of antibodies combined. It has been reported that IgA is the major Ig in adult feces, while IgM is predominant in piglet feces.
