Target Information

High Mobility Group Box 2 (HMGB2) is a protein that belongs to the non-histone chromosomal high mobility group protein family. High Mobility Group Protein B2 is encoded by the HMGB2 gene in pigs. It is an abundant, chromatin-associated protein that plays an essential role in the regulation of transcription, cell proliferation, differentiation, and tumorigenesis. It was found that HMGB2 ablation diminishes adipogenic abilities in vivo.
