Target Information
Beta-Hexosaminidase Subunit Beta (HEXB) is a component of the lysosomal enzyme β-hexosaminidase. Beta-Hexosaminidase Subunit Beta is encoded by the HEXB gene in pigs. It is 538 amino acids long in swine. Hexosaminidase B is the beta-subunit of the lysosomal enzyme beta-hexosaminidase, which, together with the cofactor GM2 activator protein, catalyzes the degradation of the ganglioside GM2 and other molecules containing terminal N-acetylhexosamines.
