Target Information

Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Receptor is encoded by the GNRHR gene in pigs. In addition to changes in GnRH secretion, changes in the number of pituitary GnRH receptors (GnRHR) have been implicated as an important regulatory mechanism of gonadotropin secretion. The porcine GnRHR gene is located on chromosome 8 and is close to a quantitative trait locus for genes affecting ovulation rate.

Target/Biomarker Porcine GNRHR
Target Synonym Gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor; GnRH receptor; GnRH-R; Luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone receptor; LHRH; GNRHR
Gene ID 397515
