Target Information
Coagulation Factor XII (FXII), also known as Hageman factor, is a plasma protein involved in the intricate process of blood clotting. When activated, it becomes Factor XIIa, a serine protease. Coagulation Factor XII is encoded by the F12 gene in pigs. In a murine model of venous thrombosis, neutrophils and neutrophil extracellular traps appear to contribute to thrombus formation through a process involving factor XII.
