Target Information

Cysteine rich protein 2 is ecnoded by the CRIP2 gene in pigs. CRIP2, along with its closely related counterpart CRIP1, are cysteine-rich proteins that feature two LIM domains. These proteins are prominently expressed during the development of the cardiovascular system, where they play a crucial role in connecting serum response factor with GATA proteins, thereby promoting the activation of target genes in smooth muscle.
