Target Information

Cystathionine Gamma-Lyase (CGL), also known as cystathionase, is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism. Cystathionine Gamma-Lyase is encoded by the CTH gene in pigs. Cystathionine gamma-lyase is the major cardiovascular source of endogenous H₂S release, is involved in the regulation of glucose metabolism and mitochondrial activity through a PGC1α-dependent mechanism, and is critical for renal function.
