Target Information

Creatine kinase M-type (CK-MM), also known as muscle-type creatine kinase, is an enzyme expressed in various tissues and cell types. Creatine Kinase M-Type is encoded by the CKM gene in pigs. The CKM gene is driven by its promoter only at the final stage of muscle differentiation, so its expression is temporally and spatially specific. Research has shown that the CKM gene may serve as a potential muscle-specific safe harbor locus in the porcine genome.
