Target Information

Beta-2-Microglobulin is encoded by the B2M gene in pigs. It is a small membrane protein associated with the heavy chains of MHC class I proteins. B2M is a crucial player in immune surveillance, disease detection, and kidney function. The porcine B2M is a highly conserved gene encoding the β-chain of SLA-I and thus is a potential target for reducing or eliminating the SLA-I expression on the cell surface.

Target/Biomarker Porcine B2M
Target Synonym Beta-2-microglobulin; Lactollin; B2M
