Specifications
Target Information
Acylamino Acid-Releasing Enzyme (AARE), also known as acylpeptide hydrolase (APEH/ACPH), acylaminoacyl peptidase (AAP), or oxidized protein hydrolase (OPH), is a deeply conserved protease found in all domains of life. These enzymes are ATP-independent serine proteases that act on oxidized proteins. Acylamino-Acid-Releasing Enzyme is encoded by the APEH gene in pigs. APEH is a main enzyme involved in Valproic acid-acylglucuronide hydrolysis in the liver.
