Peptoniphilus indolicus is a bacterium belonging to the Peptoniphilaceae family. It has been linked to summer mastitis in cows. Infections combining Actinomyces pyogenes and P. indolicus tend to be clinically more severe, often resulting in a greater incidence of systemic involvement.
