Target Information

Estrogen is a type of sex hormone responsible for the development and regulation of the female reproductive system and secondary sex characteristics. Estrogens also help maintain bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. In an ovine model, research indicates that estrogen disruption during postnatal uterine development has period-specific effects on the expression of genes, primarily within the endometrial epithelium.
