Mouse Versican (VS) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

The versican core protein may be involved in intercellular signaling and in linking cells to the extracellular matrix. It potentially contributes to the regulation of cell motility, growth, and differentiation by binding to hyaluronic acid. In mice, versican has a broad range of functions, including tumorigenesis, immune regulation, cell proliferation and differentiation, tissue morphogenesis, and fibrosis. It plays a crucial role in inflammation and immune response by interacting with various extracellular matrix components, such as hyaluronic acid and TSG-6. For instance, in a lung inflammation model, conditional knockout of versican considerably decreased macrophage infiltration and the expression of inflammatory factors, suggesting that versican may influence the inflammatory response by modulating the migration and activation of immune cells.
