Target Information

TYRO protein tyrosine kinase-binding protein is encoded by the Tyrobp gene in mice. It functions as an adapter protein, non-covalently interacting with activating receptors on various immune cell surfaces to mediate signaling and cell activation upon ligand binding. Following ligand binding by the associated receptors, TYROBP becomes tyrosine-phosphorylated in the ITAM domain, leading to the activation of additional tyrosine kinases and subsequent cell activation. TYROBP has many important functions in mice, including regulating immune responses, promoting neuronal development, and maintaining nervous system function. Its performance in disease models further reveals its potential role in immune and neurodegenerative diseases.
