Target Information

TGF-beta receptor type-1 transmits signals from TGFB1, TGFB2, and TGFB3 from the cell surface to the cytoplasm, regulating a wide range of physiological and pathological processes. These include cell cycle arrest in epithelial and hematopoietic cells, mesenchymal cell proliferation and differentiation, wound healing, extracellular matrix production, immunosuppression, and carcinogenesis. TGFBR1 is essential for the development of the mouse reproductive system. Research has demonstrated that the absence or functional impairment of TGFBR1 leads to significant reproductive system defects. Conditional knockout of TGFBR1 results in compromised endometrial integrity, characterized by abnormal uterine gland structures, a reduced number of uterine glands, and endometrial stromal fibrosis.
