Target Information

Serum Amyloid A is a key acute phase protein. In mice, SAA-1 functions encompass several areas, including immune regulation, inflammatory responses, amyloid deposition, and interactions with other proteins. In mouse models, SAA-1 expression is closely linked to the onset and progression of various diseases. For instance, in mice infected with Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), SAA-1 levels significantly increase, correlating with neuroinflammation and cognitive dysfunction. Additionally, during pregnancy, SAA-1 expression is associated with the upregulation of proteins related to the IFN-γ signaling pathway.
