Mouse Selectin, Endothelium (SELE) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

E-selectin is a cell-surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in immunoadhesion. It facilitates the adhesion of blood neutrophils to cytokine-activated endothelium through its interaction with SELPLG/PSGL1 and may also be involved in capillary morphogenesis. In mice, E-selectin is involved in various processes, including the inflammatory response, leukocyte adhesion and migration, tumor metastasis, hematopoiesis, and cardiovascular disease. It has been identified as a key regulator of leukocyte rolling in mouse models. For instance, in mice treated with TNF-α, E-selectin expression in the muscles significantly increased, leading to enhanced leukocyte rolling. E-selectin-deficient mice exhibit severe inflammatory defects and reduced survival rates. Upon chemical or cytokine stimulation, these mice show significantly reduced leukocyte adhesion, resulting in impaired immune function.
