Target Information
Sclerostin domain-containing protein 1 is potentially involved in initiating endometrial receptivity for implantation and sensitizing for the decidual cell reaction. It enhances Wnt signaling while inhibiting TGF-beta signaling. This protein directly antagonizes the activity of BMP2, BMP4, BMP6, and BMP7 in a dose-dependent manner. In mice, Sostdc1 serves various functions, including bone and tooth development, fracture healing, immune system regulation, and other tissue-specific roles. These functions are primarily achieved through its antagonistic action on the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, though it also plays independent roles within specific tissues.
