Target Information
The scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) superfamily is a highly conserved and ancient group of cell surface and/or secreted proteins. Some members of this superfamily are involved in the development of the immune system and the regulation of both innate and adaptive immune responses. In addition, some SRCR family members (such as SR-BI) are also involved in the clearance of low-density lipoprotein, which may be related to the occurrence of diseases such as atherosclerosis. SRCR family members have multiple functions in mice, including immune regulation, pathogen recognition, apoptosis regulation, and possible disease-related roles.
