Target Information

Scavenger receptor class A member 3 (SCARA3) appears to protect cells by scavenging oxidative molecules or harmful oxidation products. SCARA3 is closely linked to the severity of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) in mice, with studies showing that its expression is significantly upregulated and positively correlates with disease severity. This makes SCARA3 a potential prognostic biomarker for HFMD progression. Additionally, SCARA3 plays a significant role in obesity-related metabolic disorders. Research has found that its expression is low in aged adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (Ad-MSCs) and is significantly decreased in obese mice, such as db/db mice.

Target/Biomarker Mouse SCARA3
