Target Information

Protein S100-A11 plays a crucial role in facilitating the differentiation and cornification of keratinocytes. In mice, S100A11 is involved in a wide range of biological processes, including neuroprotection, tumor promotion, inflammation regulation, cell migration, and differentiation. It helps prevent neuronal apoptosis caused by ischemia by inhibiting the nuclear translocation of ANXA1, a finding verified in cerebral ischemia models. S100A11 is also known to promote tumor growth in various cancers. For instance, in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), S100A11 enhances tumor cell proliferation and invasion through the P38/MAPK signaling pathway and is closely associated with a poor prognosis.
