Mouse Resistin Like Beta (RETNLb) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

Resistin-like molecule beta (RELMβ) is a protein predominantly secreted in the intestine, involved in various physiological and pathological processes. In mice lacking RELMβ, the composition of the intestinal microbiota is altered, with an increase in bacteria, particularly Gram-negative, making contact with the intestine, suggesting that RELMβ restricts bacterial interaction with intestinal epithelial cells. In infection models, RELMβ protects the intestine from pathogens by recruiting CD4+ T cells and promoting the proliferation of intestinal epithelial cells. For instance, mice without RELMβ exhibit greater intestinal damage and higher mortality rates post-infection. In mouse models of a high-fat diet and obesity, RELMβ expression is significantly elevated, which is associated with insulin resistance and metabolic disorders.
