Mouse Renal Tubular Epithelial Cell Line-TCMK-1

Cat. No.CC7F128

Product TypeAnimal Cells and Cell Lines

Product Overview

Mouse Renal Tubular Epithelial Cell Line-TCMK-1 was isolated and cultured in 1963 from C3H mouse renal tubule tissue. These cells were transformed by SV40 and are positive for the SV40 T antigen. Approximately 2% of the cells are positive for SV40 viral antigens, but the virus is not recoverable. Testing confirmed they are negative for murine ectromelia virus (mousepox). All cells display 2-6 proximal centromeric chromosomes with secondary constrictions and 1-4 bi-armed chromosomes per cell. Sixty percent of the cells have one or more minute chromosomes.
