Target Information

Receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 3 (Ripk3) is a serine/threonine-protein kinase that induces necroptosis and apoptosis, two distinct pathways of cell death. RIPK3 performs various functions in mice, including roles in cell death regulation, inflammatory responses, tissue damage, metabolic processes, and tumorigenesis. In sepsis models, RIPK3 collaborates with GSDMD (Gasdermin D) to drive tissue damage. In renal fibrosis models, RIPK3 contributes to TGF-β1-induced fibrosis through an AKT-dependent pathway, while it also alleviates renal fibrosis by inhibiting the AKT/ACL (ATP citrate lyase) pathway.
