Specifications
Target Information
Phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein 1 (PEBP1) is known to bind ATP, opioids, and phosphatidylethanolamine, with a lower affinity for phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine. It functions as a serine protease inhibitor, effectively inhibiting thrombin, neuropsin, and chymotrypsin, but not trypsin, tissue-type plasminogen activator, or elastase. In mice, the roles of PEBP1 are diverse, encompassing cell membrane remodeling, neural development, immune response, and disease manifestation. PEBP1 is crucial in cell membrane remodeling and receptor regulation. It interacts with G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), such as dopamine receptors (DOR) and β2-adrenergic receptors, influencing signal transduction by regulating the desensitization and internalization of these receptors.
