Mouse Microglial Cell Line BV-2-Luc-RFP-Puro
Product Overview
Mouse Microglial Cell Line BV-2 is a widely used model of mouse microglia, a type of brain-resident immune cell. It's derived from the C57/BL6 murine strain and immortalized using a retrovirus, resulting in a cell line that retains key microglial features and functions. It expresses nuclear v-myc and chromosomal v-raf oncogenes, expresses envgp70 antigen on the surface, and has the characteristics of phagocytes in morphology, phenotype and function. Mouse Microglial Cell Line BV-2-Luc-RFP-Puro is BV-2 cells infected with lentivirus and stably express firefly luciferase and RFP.
