Mouse Lung Epithelial Cell Line-MLE-12
Product Overview
The Mouse Lung Epithelial Cell Line-MLE-12 was established in 1992 from SV40 large T-antigen transgenic mice under the control of the human surfactant protein C gene promoter region. The cells produce tumors in nude mice within 6 to 9 months and express lung surfactant proteins B and C (SP-B, SP-C), along with mRNA for the large T-antigen. Lung surfactant proteins B and C were detected. The cells secrete phospholipids in response to phorbol esters and ATP, but not to forskolin.
