Target Information

Leucine-rich repeat LGI family member 3 (LGI3) may play a role in regulating neuronal exocytosis. It is expressed in various tissues, including adipose tissue, brain, skin, and pancreas. Research indicates that LGI3 is involved in several biological processes by modulating the expression of related genes. In pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PAC), LGI3 influences cell differentiation, angiogenesis, and immune responses by regulating protein interaction networks and metabolic pathways. Additionally, LGI3 is crucial for skin barrier function, promoting keratinocyte differentiation and enhancing stratum corneum integrity. For instance, UVB exposure can reduce the expression of skin barrier proteins, but LGI3 helps repair the damaged barrier by regulating these protein expressions.
