Mouse IQ Motif Containing GTPase Activating Protein 2 (IQGAP2) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

Ras GTPase-activating-like protein IQGAP2 interacts with activated CDC42 and RAC1 but does not appear to enhance their GTPase activity. It also binds to calmodulin, highlighting its multifaceted role in cellular processes. In mice, IQGAP2 serves critical functions in metabolic regulation, tumor suppression, inflammatory responses, and immune dynamics at the blood-brain barrier. Primarily expressed in the liver, IQGAP2 plays a pivotal role in glycogen synthesis and lipid metabolism. Research indicates that IQGAP2 deficiency results in reduced liver glycogen levels and disrupts the expression of genes involved in glycogen synthesis, such as GYS2, leading to impaired glycogen synthesis. Additionally, mice lacking IQGAP2 exhibit defects in insulin signaling, diminished fatty acid uptake, and lower triglyceride levels. These findings underscore the essential role of IQGAP2 in maintaining metabolic homeostasis.
