Mouse Interleukin 27 (IL-27) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

IL-27 (interleukin-27) is a cytokine part of the IL-12 family, produced by dendritic cells (DCs) and antigen-presenting cells (APCs) in response to inflammatory stimuli. It serves a dual role in the immune system by promoting proinflammatory responses and curbing excessive immune reactions, thus regulating various diseases. IL-27 suppresses excessive immune responses by inducing IL-10 production and facilitating the differentiation of regulatory T cells (Tregs). In mouse models, the absence of IL-27 results in a reduced number of Tregs, leading to the onset of autoimmune diseases. Furthermore, IL-27 balances Th1 and Th2 cells by inhibiting GATA-3 expression and inducing T-bet expression. It is crucial in antiviral immunity, activating the JAK-STAT signaling pathway and promoting IFN-γ production. In mouse models of dengue and Zika virus infections, IL-27 significantly reduced viral replication and pathological damage.
