In the testis, inhibin βB aids in forming male-specific abdominal vessels, a critical step in testicular development and hormone production. In the ovary, inhibin βB is inhibited by Wnt4 and its downstream target gene Follistatin, influencing normal ovarian development and angiogenesis.
