Mouse Immunoglobulin G3 (IgG3) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

IgG3 antibodies specifically bind to pathogen antigens, providing a protective effect. For instance, IgG3 antibodies targeting the MSP-19 antigen of the malarial parasite Plasmodium yoelii can protect mice from infection after passive immunization, a protection that remains substantial even without Fcγ receptors (Fcγ-RI), highlighting IgG3's independent function from Fc receptors. Additionally, IgG3 exhibits complement-dependent bactericidal activity against the core oligosaccharide of lipopolysaccharide (LOS) in Brucella pertussis, effectively reducing bacterial colonization in the respiratory tract. IgG3 also plays a critical role in certain autoimmune diseases; in the MRL/lpr mouse model, IgG3 is linked to cryoglobulins, which precipitate at low temperatures, leading to conditions such as vasculitis and nephritis. As one of the most potent complement-activating antibody subtypes, IgG3 activates the complement system via the classical pathway (C1q), enhancing pathogen clearance.
