Target Information
Heat shock 70 kDa protein 1A serves as a molecular chaperone involved in various cellular processes, such as protecting the proteome from stress, assisting in the folding and transport of newly synthesized polypeptides, activating the proteolysis of misfolded proteins, and aiding in the formation and dissociation of protein complexes. It plays a crucial role in the protein quality control system, ensuring correct protein folding, re-folding of misfolded proteins, and managing protein degradation targeting. In mice, Hspa1a is a key heat shock protein essential for cellular stress response, embryonic development protection, and processes related to diseases. The Hspa1a gene in mice is highly homologous to the human HSPA1A gene, with its encoded protein being expressed under heat stress conditions. Research indicates that the Hspa1a gene is consistently expressed during mouse embryonic development and becomes increasingly inducible after the embryo reaches the 8-cell stage.
