Target Information
The Growth Hormone Receptor (GHR) is a receptor for the growth hormone (GH1) from the pituitary gland, playing a key role in regulating postnatal growth. Upon binding with its ligand, it activates the JAK2/STAT5 pathway. In mice, GHR is expressed across various tissues and developmental stages, with its functions closely tied to growth hormone signaling. During embryonic development, mouse GHR exhibits a notable expression pattern. Research has detected GHR mRNA in mouse embryos at the preimplantation stage using reverse transcription-PCR, with transcription evident in 8-cell stage embryos. This suggests that GHR may be crucial for early embryonic development.
