Target Information

Formyl Peptide Receptor 2, encoded by the Fpr2 gene in mice, is a high-affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides (FMLP), which are potent chemotactic factors for neutrophils. Upon recognizing various ligands, such as FMLP or those associated with cell damage, disease, or inflammation, it stimulates chemotaxis in immune cells, directing them to sites of infection or tissue damage. FPR2 has a wide range of functions in mice, covering immune response, inflammation regulation, neurobehavior, and possible metabolic regulation. These functions make it an important target for studying the immune system, nervous system and related diseases.
