Mouse Follistatin Like Protein 3 (FSTL3) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

The secreted form of follistatin-related protein 3 (FSTL3) functions as a binding and antagonizing protein for members of the TGF-beta family, including activin, BMP2, and MSTN. It effectively inhibits cellular signaling induced by activin A, activin B, BMP2, and MSTN, with a stronger inhibitory effect on activin A compared to activin B. FSTL3 plays a role in bone formation by suppressing osteoclast differentiation. In mice, FSTL3 is involved in a variety of critical processes, such as metabolic regulation, cardioprotection, muscle growth, reproductive function, and tumor progression. Studies on FSTL3 knockout mice have demonstrated reduced cardiac hypertrophy, decreased cardiomyocyte area, and diminished interstitial fibrosis under conditions of pressure overload.
