Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 15 (FGF15) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

In mice, FGF15 serves several physiological functions, including the regulation of bile acid metabolism, promotion of liver regeneration, maintenance of intestinal health, regulation of metabolic homeostasis, provision of anti-inflammatory protection, and participation in crucial biological processes such as organ development. FGF15 plays a key role in regulating bile acid metabolism by binding to the Farnesoid X receptor (FXR) in the small intestine, thereby inhibiting the expression of bile acid synthase in the liver to maintain bile acid balance. This regulation has been extensively validated in mouse models. The expression of FGF15 is positively influenced by bile acid levels, and a deficiency in either bile acid or FGF15 can lead to increased bile acid synthesis and an expanded bile acid pool.
