Mouse Collectin Sub-Family Member 11 (COLEC11) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

Collectin-11 is a lectin involved in innate immunity, apoptosis, and embryogenesis. It is a calcium-dependent lectin that binds to self and non-self glycoproteins with high mannose oligosaccharides, featuring at least one terminal alpha-1,2-linked mannose epitope. It predominantly targets the terminal disaccharide of glycans and also recognizes certain fucosylated glycans and lipopolysaccharides. In a rheumatoid arthritis (RA) model, Collectin-11 reduced disease severity by inhibiting the overactivation of dendritic cells (DCs) and the excessive response of T cells. Mice lacking CL-11 (Colec11−/−) showed a heightened adaptive immune response, with increased levels of IFNγ and IL-17A, along with elevated expression of inflammatory factors like TNF-α and IL-6, leading to more severe arthritis and tissue damage. Additionally, CL-11 enhances pathogen clearance by activating the complement pathway through forming a complex with mannose-binding protein (MASP).
