Mouse Breast Cancer Cell Line-4T1-OVA
Product Overview
4T1 is a 6-thioguanine resistant cell line selected from the 410.4 tumor, without mutagenic treatment. The tumor growth and metastatic spread of 4T1 cells in BALB/c mice closely resemble human breast cancer. This makes the tumor an animal model for stage IV human breast cancer. When injected into BALB/c mice, 4T1 spontaneously produces highly metastatic tumors. As the primary tumor grows in its original location, it also metastasizes to the lungs, liver, lymph nodes, and brain. 4T1-induced tumors can serve as both a post-operative model and a non-surgical model, because the tumors they induce spontaneously metastasize in both models with similar kinetics. Mouse Breast Cancer Cell Line-4T1-OVA are 4T1 cells infected with lentivirus and stably overexpress OVA.
