Target Information

Mouse granzyme K (GzmK) is a 32-kDa serine protease predominantly expressed in mouse cytotoxic lymphocytes-including natural killer (NK) cells, NKT cells, and subsets of CD8⁺ T cells. It is stored in cytoplasmic granules and released upon immune activation, mediating target cell apoptosis via cleavage of pro-apoptotic substrates. Beyond cytotoxicity, it modulates inflammatory responses by regulating cytokine production and immune cell recruitment. Ubiquitous in mouse lymphoid tissues (spleen, lymph nodes) and inflamed sites, it supports anti-viral, anti-tumor, and autoimmune responses. As a key effector molecule of cytotoxic lymphocytes, mouse GzmK is a critical target for studying immune-mediated cell death, infectious diseases, and tumor immunology.
