Target Information
Canine Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 (MCP1) is a chemokine produced by monocytes and macrophages in dogs. It plays a key role in immune responses by attracting monocytes and other immune cells to sites of infection or inflammation. MCP1 binds to the CCR2 receptor on these cells, promoting their migration and activation. In dogs, MCP1 is involved in various inflammatory processes and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of certain diseases. It also plays a role in the recruitment of immune cells to sites of tissue damage, aiding in the repair and regeneration process.
