Mouse Ankyrin Repeat Domain Protein 1 (ANKRD1) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 1 (ANKRD1) may play a significant role in the activation of endothelial cells and possibly functions as a nuclear transcription factor that negatively regulates the expression of cardiac genes. Under normal physiological conditions, ANKRD1 knockout mice exhibit normal baseline cardiac function and adaptive responses to pressure overload, indicating that ANKRD1 is not essential in these situations. However, overexpression of ANKRD1 is linked to various cardiac pathological states, including myocardial hypertrophy, cardiomyocyte apoptosis, myocardial fibrosis, and diastolic dysfunction. For instance, in models of pressure overload (such as aortic coarctation) or myocardial infarction, ANKRD1 overexpression worsens cardiac remodeling and fibrosis.
