Target Information

Angiogenic factor with G patch and FHA domains 1 (Aggf1) promotes angiogenesis and endothelial cell proliferation. It can bind to endothelial cells and encourage their proliferation, suggesting it may function autocrinely. In a mouse hindlimb ischemia model, AGGF1 injection significantly enhances blood supply to the ischemic region and reduces tissue necrosis and inflammation, highlighting its potential therapeutic value for treating ischemic diseases. Additionally, AGGF1 inhibits the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells by interacting with integrin α7, thereby preventing neointima formation, a key mechanism in vascular restenosis.

Target/Biomarker Mouse AGGF1
