Small airways are the tiny bronchial branches that connect the large airways to the alveoli, playing a critical role in maintaining normal lung ventilation. ASMCs (mouse airway smooth muscle cells) are primarily isolated from the small airway tissue of mice. They are widely used in biomedical research, especially in studies of disease mechanisms related to asthma, airway remodeling, and airway hyperresponsiveness.
